september in the studio

That end-of-summer energy has me reorganizing some of the forgotten corners of the studio. A welcome energetic refresh as we approach a new season. The table by the door in the studio was in desperate need of de-cluttering and I can feel the shift reverberate through our entire space already. I’ve set aside the tabletop for beauty, to be seen going in and out of the door, and the lower shelf for parcels, also in transition from one place to another. A place of constant movement, a portal.

Around the studio, I’ve been wrapping up projects and readying for the season ahead, blending lots of teas and fresh batches of perfume. The last few jars and packets of our summer cold-brew tea and rose & hibiscus tisanes are on their way out to you. The season’s dried herbs arrive to be added to oil infusions. I watch closely for the subtle signs of autumn in the garden.

You may also have noticed a little refresh around our website recently. Thanks for your patience as I work out all the little details, and welcome back to this little window onto our world…

Some favorite treats for the season ahead: new batches of our nourishing serum and our rose & cardamom assam, alongside our deliciously scrubby ayate cloths to accompany you into the warm baths of autumn. And lots of fresh vintage this season, too!

And a few more moments from around the studio this month, as cozier days approach. I’ve been delighted to send a few treasures out to our stockists Folklore, in Mendocino, CA and Remedies Parlor in Fort Myers, FL. Please visit them if you happen to be nearby!
