october in the studio + in the garden
This past month has been a time of many projects coming to fruition, and I’m so excited to finally share my new botanical perfume, elettaria, with you. Inspired by the many requests I’ve received over the years for a perfume that echoes the cozy magic of our cardamom butter, this scent is truly special. I’ve layered artisan infusions of cardamom and vanilla made here in the studio together with the most delicious essences and absolutes I could find to create a long-lasting scent that radiates warmth and comfort. I hope you’ll love it!

we’ve had a series of beautifully golden afternoons this past week, trying to soak up every moment
started forcing the first of many batches of paperwhite bulbs at the studio. their fragrance and beauty works wonders to illuminate the colder, darker days that are surely ahead
destined for perfume: some of our beautiful green cardamom pods before they are crushed and infused into organic cane alcohol

the leaves of our Hydrangea quercifolia are glowing brightly in the garden this week
milkweed seeds and fluff abound in our native plant beds at this time of the year. these are the seeds of the lovely pink swamp milkweed.
the white Japanese anemone popping up through the hydrangea, I could hardly tear myself away from this color combination!
a last golden flare from the brown-eyed susans (Rudbeckia triloba)
Warmest autumn wishes,
This month has been truly lovely in the garden, a spacious respite from the heat of summer. I’ve been very busy in the studio, releasing our botanical perfume, TILTH, and sending lots of treats out to our wonderful shop partners across the country.
