late august in the studio + in the garden

Late summer favorites fill the garden beds with color, and finally the rain returns.

watching the angle of the light change through the studio windows
pouring more of our tiny beeswax tapers for the cozy season ahead
a freshly blended batch of our perfume serum no. 2, the orange blossom and tuberose mingle with ginger, vanilla and saffron in a scent that works beautifully for the seasonal transition
it’s a good moment to amplify the light with a little shimmer as it wanes, moving toward the equinox

Now playing at the studio: the new album BAMANAN by Rokia Koné & Jacknife Lee

New York Ironweed, Rudbeckia triloba and Asclepias incarnata
more ironweed, together with the very weedy (but beloved by pollinators!) Solidago candensis and a touch of pink Phlox paniculata
Boltonia asteroides & more
