abundance + gratitude

We harvested the first of our honey this week. It was so beautiful. When we began keeping bees last year in a garden in Brooklyn, we got a late start and didn't harvest honey last fall in order to leave the bees enough to get through the winter.

the summer garden

We've been spending nearly every spare moment in the garden lately. Our little plot receives a great deal more sun than last year, due to the willow tree situation, so I've been dreaming up ways to take advantage of it.
