We've returned from our trip to welcome a new month and today's lovely market at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It's always a fairly big deal for me to pack things up for an event outside the studio, but today was worth it.

A new year, a few days to rest. New projects taking shape behind the scenes. As always, so grateful. Here are a few photos from our recent trip to the West Coast. And some words about the shoreline.

I hope that the beginning of September has treated you well. Despite the strangely tropical weather here this past week, the seasonal shift is still perceptible, and I've been spending just a bit more time working by lamplight in the studio.

Our twice-yearly trip is always a treat, and extra-anticipated during this abundant season when local markets are overflowing with fruits and flowers, and making pies and going sailing seem like the only natural ways to spend the day.
